Our Contributions: Overview

Since receiving its charter in April 2006, Exploration Systems Projects (ESP) has grown to over fifty professionals supporting a variety of disciplines across the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate (ESMD), Constellation program, and its other customers. At its inception, the team was tasked to provide systems engineering and integration, communications, and safety reliability and quality assurance expertise. Since then, ESP has received several additional assignments in areas including unpressurized cargo, lunar surface systems, and avionics. With ESP’s workforce core competencies spanning project management, mission assurance, and engineering, Goddard has become an integral member of the nationwide team of NASA centers developing the Exploration Systems architecture.
